Firefox 20 Beta with Dev Tool, Revamped Download Manager

Firefox 20 Beta 1 is released with drastic improvements to its Download Manager, Development Tools and Per Window Private Browsing

Firefox has really made a great comeback by making a great and improvised Beta version with attractive and easy to use Developer toolbox just as similar to Firebug with lots of commands to go around, which for sure a treat for developers who love to work with.

These are some outstanding features been introduced in beta version such as CSS Flexbox, getUserMedia - HTML5 DOM API that allows the browser to capture local camera and/or microphone streams directly, without the need for third party plugins, Canvas Blend Modes, Focusing on below three features;

Improvised Download Manager

The Reason why i would like to describe about Download manager is, Basically I am a Download Junkie and love to test a wide range of download manager Softwares and some inbuilt download manager for Firefox. But really amazing to see this new revamped download manager which came up with this Firefox 20 Beta 1 version.

The Download Manager does not require a separate window as compared to previous versions.

Yes It is, The Progress of all download's can be seen just right to the search bar showing the progress with remaining time on green bar and just click the progress to view in detail of multiple downloads. So Cool isn't it?.

Download progress

As shown in above screenshot, Instead of navigating to Download Window, the progress can be viewed right in a very easy way and just right click for more options like pause, Go To/Copy Download link.. etc

Developer Toolbox

Again this one is an exciting news for all developers out there including me, where one can go through various functionality such as web page debugging, testing.. etc.

As most of the developers depending upon debugging tools such as Firebug, I feel its not required as Developer toolbox comes with more enhancement such as 3D view, Scratch pad - to make some valuable notes in middle of debug, Responsive Design Model, Web Console, the debugger, the Inspector and the Style Editor.

Developer Toolbox

Also with command bar located to bottom of Dev tool, Developers can type in the appropriate command for easy development and debugging a shown in above screenshot.

Also can view at available commands by typing "Help", So One can check for available commands and typing the appropriate command will populate the respective syntax which is will make the life a lot more easier :)

Browse Specific Websites Privately Or Per Window Private Browsing

Private Browsing is one great feature as seen in previous versions of Firefox, But One can browse either in Normal mode or Private Mode not in either mode. Firefox 20 beta Allows to browse in private window as while browsing in normal mode.

This really comes handy when someone needs to browse a specific URL, say a website consisting videos or images and don't need them to get stored in cache, Can use this as it comes as an added option during right click of any link as shown below which can be called as Per Windows Private Browsing as named by Mozilla.

Per Window Private Browsing

Overall I feel Mozilla has put some Competitive efffort to enhance Firefox at its best to match to Google Chrome with outstanding download manager panel, Developer tool enhancement and private browsing in window.

The Beta of Firefox 20 is available from Mozilla Website
