Remote Desktop Connection is a Key utility, Where Users Can Connect their Windows 7, 8 Or XP Operating System machine's to connect a computer that is located elsewhere and access files or run programs and make your work much more easier with Keyboard Shortcut keys

Why Windows Users find it difficult working on Remote Machine's?

People Who works in Corporate Software Industry will depend on Remote Desktop's for any access or any programs that needs to be executed  where they may find it more difficult to work when compare operating with local machine's due to the known fact. Let me explain by this way.


For Example: Anyone who works on any local windows 7/8/XP PC/Laptop knows How to go to Start Menu - Just Press Windows Key and there you go, Done in a fraction of second, Similar way if One likes to switch from one program, Pressing Alt+Tab would switch over to some other program. But when it comes to working on Remote machine, People find it difficult to work on due to fact which i mentioned earlier is nothing But Unfamiliarity with using Keyboard Shortcut Keys in Remote machines.

But knowing these shortcuts can make the work get done in shorter time or reduce your effort to greater extent and using these shortcuts in remote machines, one can learn them gradually as how one knows on using shortcut keys in local machines.

Alt+Insert
Cycle through Progams/apps in Taskbar
Alt+Home
Display the Windows 7/8/XP Start Menu
Alt+Delete
Display the system menu in TitleBar
Alt+Page Up
Just like Alt+Tab in local PC - Switch between apps from left to right
Alt+Page Down
Switch between apps in reverse (Right to Left)
Ctrl+Alt+Break
Switch between a window and full screen mode of Remote Desktop PC
Ctrl+Alt+End
Similar to Control+Alt+Delete -Display the Windows Security dialog box
Ctrl+Alt+Home
Activate the connection bar in Full-Screen Mode
Ctrl+Alt+Right arrow
“Tab” out of the Remote Desktop controls to a control in the host app (for example, a button or a text box). Useful when the Remote Desktop controls are embedded in another (host) app.
Ctrl+Alt+Left arrow
“Tab” out of the Remote Desktop controls to a control in the host app (for example, a button or a text box). Useful when the Remote Desktop controls are embedded in another (host) app.
Ctrl+Alt+minus (-) on the numeric keypad
Capture a snapshot of the complete client window area on the Terminal server clipboard (Similar to "Alt+Print Screen" on a local computer)
Ctrl+Alt+plus (+) on the numeric keypad
Place a copy of the entire client window area on the Terminal server clipboard (Similar to "Print Screen" on a local PC)
