Yahoo Acquires $1.1 billion worth Tumblr
It's all Official now, Yahoo Acquires Tumblr - microblogging platform and social networking website for a whooping 1.1 Billion dollars.
As all of us know, Tumblr is one of the micro blogging website just like Blogger is one of the fastest growing media networks which attracts millions of users all around the world and Yahoo! has met a deal in acquiring it approximately for $1.1 and all of which is payable in cash. According to Yahoo's press release, Tumblr will be operated independently and it's CEO David Karp will remain CEO and here's the statement from him regarding the acquisition.
