You can receive direct messages (DM) from any Twitter Follower

Yes it is, Twitter allows you to receive Direct Messages (DM) from any follower and it can be done by enabling a twitter feature in settings.

This is Twitter Opt-in feature and no need to panic or get confused, because if the feature is enabled, anyone who follows the person can DM that particular person who has enabled this feature and to stop receiving messages, Can opt-out by deselecting the check box.

This Feature lets you receive direct messages from anyone who follows them, even if you don't follow them back

So, How can i enable this feature? You may ask. Just Head over to your Twitter Settings and under Messages, you may see this feature as shown in below screenshot and selecting this option will enable "Send Direct Message" option for *ALL* your twitter followers and you can receive DM's from everyone who follows you!!
